Second-Grade Friends
Second-Grade Friends is about being friends with others. They did projects in the book like a story for a real author that visited their school. They made a card for their teacher because it was her 20th year anniversary of teaching. The main character in the story was Jacob. He went fishing with his dad. They did not catch any fish. Jacob really liked beavers and knew a lot about them. At the end of the story Jacob had his birthday party and he thought that everyone would not like him because of the treats that his mom got for his guests. He thought he was going to be embarrassed. His birthday was great because all of his friends surprised him and he had a beaver birthday cake. All of his classmates thought he was awesome and cool. He was not embarrassed anymore. We would recommend this book at everyone. Check back soon to find out the next book that we read and what we think about it.

Mrs. Trainor's Class' Book Talk
We have just finished reading Junie B. Jones Has a Peep in Her Pocket by Barbara Park. We thought the book was great. The main character is Junie B. Jones. Her class goes on a field trip to the farm. She does not want to go at the beginning but her mom makes her go. She tried to hide on the bus when they got to the farm. But that meanie Jim told Mrs. where she was. After she got off the bus she got to be Farmer Flores' helper. She got to hold a baby chick and put it in her pocket. She wanted to take it home but he told her she couldn't. She realized that she was not afraid of the farm and liked the field trip. We would recommend this book to anyone. Stay tuned to read what we think about the next book that we are starting - Second-Grade Friends by Miriam Cohen.
